Shipping products improve PC digital video

I'm starting to wonder about the future of the TV in my home, what with all of the video I've got streaming to PC monitors instead of TVs. In addition to DTV reception (see "Improved forecast"), I've been testing PC-based digital video recording, as I recounted in "Nerve center" in November.
My early experiences were somewhat problematic, but I just received a shipping version of ATI's new Radeon board. Check back here for an update on my experiences.
