Just blue it
Development kit smooths path to market
As Bluetooth gets set to enable personal area networking among handheld devices, developers need tools to help them imbue their devices with Bluetooth abilities. Enter Extended Systems' XTNDAccess Blue SDK (software development kit). The company is shipping Version 1.2 of the multi-purpose software-development kit, which manages the sending and receiving of data according to version 1.1 of the Bluetooth spec.
An embedded protocol stack that works independently of processor or operating system, the kit enables licensee development teams to choose the hardware/software platform that best meets their needs. The kit adds device-driver support for Cambridge Silicon Radio and Texas Instruments baseband and radio chips. The package includes drivers for USB host interfaces and serial drivers for Silicon Wave and Ericsson radios, along with sample applications and complete documentation. Also, the software has been ported to run on the VxWorks OS.
