And if Microsoft bought Facebook?

Microsoft has (for now) decided not to buy Yahoo, Silicon Valley asks: what target will now rely Microsoft needs to swallow a giant web to compete with Google on the Internet? The latest rumor to date concerning a possible acquisition of Facebook, the star of social networks.



According to revelations of "Wall Street Journal, Microsoft titrate the ground by issuing" subtle signals "in the direction of the community site to see if a bid is possible.

Microsoft already owns 5% of Facebook

Since the announcement of withdrawal of the offer on Yahoo! Speculation regarding a possible acquisition of Facebook have started blogs on high-tech. Such an operation would be nothing surprising because Microsoft has already shown its interest in the social network preferred youth from a good family.  Last October, Microsoft took a minority stake in Facebook, then paying a  $240 million and thereby enhancing the site to 15 billion dollars.

Facebook now boasts more than 70 million active members.Until now, its founder, the young Marc Zuckerberg has opposed the idea of selling her jewelry, preferring to move towards an IPO.



AOL, MySpace ...

According to other rumours underway, Microsoft could also throw his vested on AOL or the Internet division of News Corp., Rupert Murdoch group which owns MySpace.Unless the software giant would eventually succeed in the thorny issue Yahoo!
